Batman: The Dark Knight
I don’t normally write movie reviews but since I cannot sleep due to my long 3-hour nap at mid-day and also because I feel that I have been delinquent at blogging due to the new job, I thought I’d write a few words about the new Batman movie.
DB and I just saw The Dark Knight at Ibn Battuta - it was a small crowd, the popcorn was good, the diet Pepsi not-so-good. Whatever possessed us to get diet??
How was the movie? Fantastic! I have hated every Batman movie until Christian Bale took over the role in Batman Begins. And I love director Chris Nolan’s take on the darker side of Batman and Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker - a character I never cared much for in both the TV series and in Jack Nicholson’s performance but Health Ledger’s take on him was wonderful to watch.
Am also glad Katie Holmes decided not to reprise her role as I find her voice annoying and thought that she was the one disappointing thing in Batman Begins.
I enjoyed the storyline and I hope that Bale will come back in a third Batman movie as The Dark Knight ends on an even darker note…
This is one movie that I will be buying the real DVD (instead of Chinese knock-offs) so that I can add it to my movie collection.

I loved loved loved the movie even though I am not much of a super-hero movie fan. This was different and really plays with your emotions, brains and imagination.
One thing I don’t agree with you though, I prefer Katie Holmes rather than the one who acted this time. First, Katie is way hotter I must say. Second, she fits the role better and she definitely looks better fit for batman although that’s not how it ended up. And third, her voice is not annoying :p

Beat my expectations, thats for sure.
Watched it the second time in the cinema and just couldnt get enough of the action and extraordinary acting by the cast… high merits for Heath, may God rest his soul.
